The Werners

Cheryl Werner grew up in New Haven, VT and graduated from Cornell University with a degree in horticulture. Now she teaches agricultural science at the Hannaford Career Center in Middlebury. On the tree farm, she specializes in making wreaths, centerpieces, and other similar products, and manages the farm's taxes and accounting.

Amanda Werner graduated with a B.A. in History from Skidmore College in New York. She's a cheesemaker at  Champlain Valley Creamery in Middlebury.  On the tree farm, she manages social media, wreath and centerpiece design, and customer service.

David Werner arrived in Vermont during his senior year in high school, and has stayed ever since. He worked in forestry before switching to carpentry, specializing in custom-designed houses. On the tree farm, he focuses on shearing, directs the planting, and handles buying and selling.

Marion Werner moved to Vermont with her husband Fredrick and their five children in the 70s. She currently volunteers at Project Independence and at Porter hospital. On the tree farm she keeps us all in line.

Dr. Jessie Werner graduated with a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University and a B.A. in Biology from Colby College in Maine.  She works for Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Saratoga Springs, NY.  Jessie makes garland on the farm.

William Werner graduated from Beloit College with a degree in Environmental Science.  He works for MBL at Woods Hole.  He'll be home on the farm Thanksgiving weekend this year.

Eight years ago around Christmas time, Noelle- "Ellie" wandered onto our farm. She was a stray kitten living in our choose and cut fields.  We adopted her, and when Christmas season comes around she moves out into the Christmas shop with us again.
